CONCERT PHOTOGRAPHY
Born in 1959, I've started photographing in 1987. Only after 14 years of doing classic photography, have I seriously started recording music concerts. I believe my patience has paid off. I won bronze medal at the international rock photography salon in 2005, gold medal in 2006, and honorable mention in 2007.
I don't approach my concert photography in a photo journalistic, or documentary manner, but ruther I shoot concerts as I would photograph ballet, or a theatre play. I am trying to make photographs that would make strong aesthetic statements ten-twenty years from now - whether people recognize the band or not.
Some of my photos appeared in music magazines like Metal Hammer, Bravo and, since 2005, French Dalle APRF has been representing my music photos worldwide. I am always looking for a better company to represent my work.
I don’t exhibit much (every 2nd year), but I write about photography for magazines “Refoto” and “Digital Arts.”
